Chair Liz Ditchburn and Director of Supply Chain and Decommissioning Pauline Innes to take the stage at energy industry showcase

NSTA to host Meet the Developers session on day one, supported by The Crown Estate, Crown Estate Scotland and RenewableUK
Big hitters from the North Sea Transition Authority (NSTA) will lend their weight to thought-provoking conversations about the UK’s energy security at a flagship event in Scotland next week.
The All-Energy Exhibition and Conference – which brings together leading voices from across the low-carbon sectors, and is celebrating its 25th anniversary – takes place in Glasgow on 13-14 May.
NSTA chair Liz Ditchburn will take part in a plenary panel, entitled Delivering the Energy Transition – Timelines, Trust and Accountability, at 10am on 14 May, alongside Melanie Macrae, Department for Energy Security and Net Zero; Nicola Connelly, SP Energy Networks; Sam Ghibaldan, Consumer Scotland; and Joel Kenrick, National Wealth Fund. The panel will be moderated by Energy Voice News Editor Erikka Askeland.
They will weigh up the roles of government, regulators and system operators in removing barriers to investment, and discuss the importance of spatial planning in accelerating the delivery of projects which can boost the UK’s energy supply and support the transition.
The NSTA is well placed to share insights. The regulator works with other bodies, including both Crown Estates, the UK and Scottish governments and the National Energy System Operator, to enable energy projects to share space in an increasingly busy UKCS, alongside other marine sectors.
Liz Ditchburn, a public sector leader who has led the NSTA’s board since October 2024, said: “This landmark 25th edition of All-Energy brings together diverse sectors, all of whom have a role to play in creating the integrated energy future of the UK. I’m looking forward to productive conversations between industry, government, regulators and others to enable investment and ensure the energy transition works for all.”
Pauline Innes, NSTA Director of Supply Chain and Decommissioning, will moderate a lively panel debate on the topic of Energy Supply Chain in Transition, at 1:50pm on 13 May.
Speakers from Supplier Development Programme Scotland, Global Energy Group, SSEN Transmission and ESB will give their views on how to anchor supply chains in the UK and grow them to meet demand for emissions reduction projects, including carbon capture and storage.
The NSTA is actively supporting the oil and gas industry’s supply chain, and highly skilled workforce, as they pivot to play a leading role in the UK’s energy transition.
On day one of All-Energy, the NSTA will host a free Meet the Developers session to give supply chain companies an opportunity to network with some of the UK’s biggest energy project operators. The event is supported by RenewableUK, Crown Estate Scotland and The Crown Estate. Register to attend here.
NSTA colleagues will be on hand throughout the show to shed light on our role in the energy transition and our support for the UK’s supply chain at exhibition stand J60, which will boast an interactive display.
The NSTA’s Energy Pathfinder portal gives suppliers confidence to invest in skills and technologies by providing a clear picture of upcoming contracting opportunities for scores of carbon storage, wind power, oil and gas and decommissioning projects.
And, as part of the UK government’s North Sea Future Plan, announced in November 2025, the NSTA will work with industry to develop a basin-wide activity plan which will provide even more visibility of developers’ schedules over the next five years.
