The NSTA published its UKCS Unit Operating Cost in 2025 report on 29 September 2026.
Average unit operating cost (UOC) was £17.81 per barrel of oil equivalent (boe) in 2025, a decrease of £1.79/boe, or 9%, from £19.60/boe in 2024.
This reduction was largely driven by a 10% fall in total UKCS OPEX from 2024 to 2025.
