UKCS Decommissioning Cost and Performance Report 2023

The NSTA's UKCS Decommissioning Cost and Performance Report 2023 reveals that the North Sea oil and gas industry spent £1.6 billion decommissioning redundant wells and infrastructure in 2022, and £8 billion from 2017-22. The total cost estimate for decommissioning is now £40 billion.
