We work on crucial issues which are affecting the country now and will continue to do so for generations to come.

We are helping to deliver energy security, and doing so in a way that plays a vital part of helping the country meet net zero. We do this through carbon capture, lowering emissions from oil and gas production and ensuring fields meet strict environmental criteria.

Whether you already work in the oil and gas industry, or are interested in becoming part of it; whether you are a lawyer, policy maker, geologist or corporate services professional, there could be a role for you here.

We are looking for talented, dedicated and enthusiastic individuals who are keen to critically analyse, work across industry and Government, and be agile, ready to adapt to constant change, all while maintaining a keen focus on our objectives.

We come from a wide range of backgrounds, whether it's a Government department, industry body or somewhere else entirely.

The NSTA is headquartered in Aberdeen with approximately 70% of our staff currently based there. We operate an office in London, but the majority of our future recruitment will require an Aberdeen office base. The job description will clearly detail in which location the role you are applying for will be based. Whilst travel between locations is possible, the 40% hybrid working commitment will predominately apply to the office location of the role.

It's not all office-based though, there is a wide range of training available whatever your level of seniority, including leadership programmes.

The following pages will tell you more about what the North Sea Transition Authority does, what we offer new recruits, what you can expect from our recruitment process, and what to expect when you join the North Sea Transition Authority team.
